This course teaches fundamental neuromotor training exercises and how to use them in the clinical setting. Using mat-based exercise, you will learn the “why” behind the “what”, and how to customize your therapeutic movement prescriptions for optimum effectiveness. Learn to observe, assess and prescribe exercise in this practical course focused on movement quality.

Pilates Chair for Rehabilitation Professionals

In the clinical setting, the Pilates Chair provides sitting and standing movement work, both bilaterally and unilaterally. This course is an introduction to Chair exercises and includes regressions for the client in active rehabilitation and progressions for post-rehabilitation and advanced wellness. Pilates chairs featured: the Wunda Chair, Combo Chair and Exo Chair. Includes equipment set up, clinical applications and safety.

Trapeze Table for Rehabilitation Professionals

Instructor:  Dr. Annie Chesterfield

It is believed that Joseph Pilates created the Trapeze Table (Cadillac) to assist in moving patients that were in hospital beds. Whether legend or fact, the Trapeze table (Cadillac) is a unique and rich movement environment which can support and enhance patient recovery and development of exercise based programs. This course is an introduction to Cadillac exercises and includes regressions for active rehabilitation, and progressions for post-rehabilitation and advanced wellness. This training is appropriate for clinics with Half Trapeze (Tower) and Wall Tower as well as full Cadillacs. Includes equipment set up, clinical applications and safety.
